2.5 ran fine, installed 3.0 last night and kept getting these errors. Specs: 2.0 GHZ single core 1.2 GB ram nVidia 8400 GS Windows XP Pro SP3 My specs, although low, shouldn't be a problem (I would think) - Anyone know the remedy to this by any chance?

This is slightly blowing my mind... There is no such Steam AppID 461, which your game is trying to mount: developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_Application_IDsWhat does your Coven/gameinfo.txt say? Down towards the end it should say: FileSystem { SteamAppId 320//215 // GCF for Source SDK Base ToolsAppId 211 // Tools will load this (ie: source SDK caches) to get things like materials\debug, materials\editor, etc. ... It should be mounting AppID 320 and 211. The obvious suspect would be a corrupt download, but I am guessing you tried re-downloading. It's even stranger that you ran 2.5 fine and 3.0 is not working. Did you try completely wiping the Coven directory before re-installing? My next best guess would be to make sure Source SDK is downloaded and installed. Just try running it and then closing out of it. Also do this for HL2DM.

Could have been a ocrrupt DL, I actually didn't try redownloading. I went to bed after I got the error.
Anyway, I'll try to reinstall and let you know how it goes. Thanks for your concern so far.

This looks a little better. What source games do you have installed? Do you have HL2DM installed? HL2 installed? Source SDK installed?

Firearms: Source, HL2:DM, and Alien Swarm if it counts. I also had Eternal-Silence and Fistful of Frags installed at the time but have deleted them recently.
For some reason or another it's working now. Thanks for your help, Techno. Really appreciate it, man.
